Oruawharo Medlands Ecovision Matariki Community Planting Day

Come and join the OME team in planting more healthy homegrown native plants on the slopes between Sandhills Reserve and the DOC wetland.

We will meet in the reserve, plant some stunning natives, and then enjoy afternoon tea together back up in the reserve as a reward for the hard mahi.

Please bring sensible footwear, gloves, a good spade if you have one, and be ready to chat, laugh and feel invigorated by the outcome of the team effort.

There will be lighter tasks for people with bad backs or sore knees etc. We will need someone to take charge of putting together the plant guards, be the pink tape fairy’s and other less demanding jobs.
